Joey Stidham, Owner of Stidham Reconstruction and Investigation, and Shelly Rice, Crime Scene/Incident Scene Reconstructionist, conducted training Monday at the 43rd annual Public Defender Education conference at the HYATT Regency Downton Lexington, KY regarding the scientific analysis of forensic evidence from a shooting incident to determine the most probable sequence of events. The session included trajectory analysis, angle of impact analysis, distance determination, cartridge case ejection patterns, projectile/shell casing comparison, shot sequencing, gunshot wound dynamics, trace evidence analysis, and bloodstain pattern analysis. Joey and Shelly also demonstrated actual trajectory analysis, comparison microscope, and a shooting incident crime scene analysis.
